Treatment Approach

“You can run from mental illness but mental illness will not run away from you.”

In my private practice, I work with individuals from the age of seven to adulthood. I believe in working from a holistic perspective. Medication can be important but it is not the only modality that is utilized. Along with psychopharmacology, I also utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy to achieve optimal health.

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a form of therapy that puts emphasis on how our thoughts shape the way we perceive life. The essence of this modality is that we can take ownership on our own life even if the outside situation does not change.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a form of therapy in which the focus of treatment is to reveal the unconscious context of a person’s psyche to alleviate psychic tension.

The disorders that I work with in my private practice are the following:

  1. Anxiety
  2. ADD/ADHD-childhood and adult
  3. Adjustment Disorder
  4. Depression
  5. Trauma based conflict
  6. Life Coaching
  7. Parent Management Training
